A pair of tapers that shade from red into deep burgundy, each finished with a fine gold edge that catches the light as the candle burns down. Crafted by hand in our Idaho workshop from 100% pure beeswax, so they burn clean, virtually drip free and unscented. At 12 inches they seat properly in a standard candlestick holder. The two tone colour makes these a good choice when a single flat red feels too bright, and they carry through from a Christmas table to a winter dinner without reading as specifically festive.

Questions about these candles

Are these taper candles?

Yes. These are 12-inch tapers, sized to fit a standard candle holder.

What is the difference between the silhouette and double spiral versions?

The silhouette is a smooth twist. Our double spiral candles are two strands twisted together for a more dramatic look. Both are made from the same 100% pure beeswax.

Do these candles drip?

Pure beeswax burns clean and drip-free when kept away from a draft.

Are these only for Christmas?

No. The red-to-burgundy shading works throughout the winter season, not just during the holidays.

Are they scented?

No. Like all our candles, these are unscented, with just the faint natural honey note that beeswax carries on its own.

How many candles come in a pair?

At first, I was somewhat dubious about using a pair. However I've had these on my dining room table and every night I light them as I have my dinner. It makes for a more "tranquil" evening which we ALL need. Also are you ever going to make those short, fat candles that require the 2 batteries in them. These are great for night lights, & safer to use which are NOT lit.

I’ve been a huge fan since the late 80’s. The only suggestion I’d make is to make more snow on them. The ones I got were extremely light on the snow. The least I’ve ever gotten. Thank you for asking as I wouldn’t contact you about that.
